A 4-day safari to Kidepo Valley National Park offers an unforgettable experience in one of Africa’s most untouched wilderness destinations. Located in northeastern Uganda, the park is famous for its stunning savannah landscapes, unique wildlife, and rich Karamojong culture.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Kidepo Valley National Park

A 4 Days Kidepo Valley National Park Safari adventure begins early in the morning with pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe. You will embark on a scenic road trip through northern Uganda, passing towns, local villages, and beautiful countryside views.

Enjoy lunch enroute before continuing toward Kidepo Valley National Park. As you approach the Karamoja region, the landscapes become more dramatic with rolling hills and open savannah plains.

Arrive in the evening, check into your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Karamojong Cultural Experience

Wake up early for a morning game drive in the Narus Valley, the best wildlife viewing area in the park because it has permanent water sources that attract animals throughout the year.

During the drive, you may spot:

•            Buffaloes

•            Zebras

•            Giraffes

•            Cheetahs

•            Leopards

•            Various antelope species

Kidepo is also one of the few places in Uganda where ostriches can be seen in the wild.

Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, visit a local Karamojong community for a cultural tour. Experience traditional dances, storytelling, local crafts, and learn about the pastoral lifestyle of the Karamojong people.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Kidepo Valley Excursion & Nature Exploration

After breakfast, head out for another exciting safari experience through the Kidepo Valley section of the park near the South Sudan border.

Visit the famous Kanangorok Hot Springs while enjoying spectacular views of the vast wilderness and seasonal riverbeds. This area is excellent for photography and bird watching.

You may encounter more wildlife including:

•            Jackals

•            Large buffalo herds

•            Secretary birds

•            Ostriches

Return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the wilderness.

Day 4: Return to Kampala/Entebbe

Before checking out from the lodge, you first have breakfast and then begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.
